1 year ago today, 3-month-old Asher underwent a major reconstructive surgery of his skull, which was misshapen at birth from a congenital malformation called craniosynostosis. Although we faced some tough times during his journey through surgery and recovery, we were overwhelmingly inspired by his go-with-it, happy spirit. Now 15 months old, Asher continues to inspire us every day. I imagine I’ll never tire of seeing the joy he brings to the world just by being his loving, sweet self.
He lives up to the meaning of his name! What an amazing boy! Can’t believe it was a year ago. Wish I could hug him. Miss you guys! XO Shawna
What a sweet little guy!
