Kyoto

After leaving Tokyo, we visited Kyoto. Our experiences in Kyoto were far different than those in Tokyo, but equally as awesome. Known as the cultural center of Japan, Kyoto is a gorgeous city. We visited the zoo, multiple temples, shrines and gardens. All over the city, leaves on the trees were changing and falling, something I’ve never seen even in the States. Another special site for all of us was the number of Japanese people in traditional garb. Isla decided Japanese women in full kimono attire must certainly be princesses. Towards the end of the trip, she told us she was half Japanese but she’d like to be entirely Japanese once she’s a grown-up and of course, she’d like to wear kimonos.
