Today, Isla’s preschool put on a Christmas show for the families. Each of the 3 different classes sang a holiday song in Japanese (at least half of the children who attend the school are Japanese) and performed a dance to another holiday song. Isla’s been singing Jingle Bells in Japanese for weeks now, but we didn’t realize she was serious! Turns out, “hukanakani” is actual Japanese. 🙂 Anyway, the show was adorable. Isla didn’t cry or run off the stage (both of which she told me she was planning to do). I let her wear my necklace as a little motivation, which worked perfectly in that final moment when she needed to leave us and head backstage.
Looks like a wonderful day!
