During the winter break (already a month ago- what?!), we hosted our first visitors to Okinawa- my parents!!! They planned their journey here very well, and seemed to transition effortlessly to our time zone and climate. As seasoned grandparents, they also seemed to transition quite gracefully to life with an almost 2 yr old and a 3.5 yr old. No easy task!
We made the most of their 10 day trip, despite a disproportionate amount of crappy weather. Favorite restaurants, sea glass collecting, island hotspots, kid hotspots, shopping, cooking/baking, even a morning of scuba-diving. And 2 major holidays- Christmas and New Year’s!
